week 3 day 5 I’ve put on 2lbs!! How did that happen?

I have been sticking to my diet very well, yes i have had the odd chockie bar but have been very careful on calorie intake and exercise. I have been working extra hard this past week putting in 10 plus hour days typing which apparently burns over 100 cals an hour so where am i going worng? I am eating less and burning more but yet i weighed myself yesterday morning and i had put on 2 lbs!!!! I felt so deflated i ended up eating a whole bag of licorice i’m surprised i haven’t been sat on the loo dying!!!! Anyway does anyone have any ideas???? I’m stuck!!!

    Did you weigh in at the same time of day?
    Did you pee before you weighed in?
    Did you have food in your stomach?
    Have you been doing some serious muscle building exercises that can bulk up your muscle mass?
    Have you been eating enough calories (above 1200) so as not to go into starvation mode and make your body cling to every pound like grim death?
    Honestly though, it’s just 2lbs. It might be water weight, or after almost 4 weeks is it that time o’ the month?
    Whatever you do don’t get discouraged! always look on the bright side of life, at least you’ve caught yourself and now you can do something to fix the problem before you gain more!

    Renee is right. There are a lot of things that could have caused it. Don’t give up though. Check everything she talked about and then get going. There are so many ups and downs that naturally happen. Keep with it and you will see results in the long term.

    There can be many reasons why you are up. Renee hit everything right on the head. What I tell my teammates - keep going it will pay off. Maybe in a few days check on it.
